Laser Tattoo Removal - Frequently Asked Questions
How does Laser Tattoo Removal work?
As the Laser is guided over your tattoo, short pulses of energy penetrate through the skin and are absorbed by the Tattoo Ink, causing it to shatter into tiny fragments. Over the weeks following treatment your white blood cells flush away the particles, lightening the appearance of the tattoo.

How much does Laser Tattoo Removal cost?
Treatments start at just £20 but, as no two tattoos are exactly the same, we always price individually for each client based on size, density of ink, design and shape. Click through to our Tattoo Removal Pricing page for more information.
Is Laser Tattoo Removal safe?
Does Laser Tattoo Removal hurt?
The sensation of the laser is described as an elastic band flicking the skin. We minimise discomfort by using state of the art cooling technology before and throughout treatment.
You may also wish to use a numbing cream before your treatment such as Emla which is available at most High Street pharmacies.

Can I go in the Sun after Laser Tattoo removal?
NO! You must stay out of the Sun both before and after your treatment. We cannot treat tanned skin both fake and real so please don’t sunbathe or apply false tan before your appointment. After your treatment you’ll need to keep the area out of the sun for one month and apply high factor sun protection. Exposure to Sun can cause both darkening (hyper-pigmentation) and or lightening (hypo-pigmentation).
Will laser tattoo removal leave scars?
In rare cases lasers can cause scarring. If you follow all aftercare advice and space out treatments as advised by your practitioner, the chances of scarring are minimal. At the Waxologist Wax & Laser we have invested in the most clinically sound and tested technology available to ensure our clients’ safety. It is extremely unlikely you will experience scarring from treatments performed by us.
